In this post i will explain how to submit your blog sitemap to Yahoo search engine. By submitting your sitemap to yahoo, they will index your web( blog ) pages and they also provide you with detailed information related to your blog. you can submit and track feeds of your sites.Submitting your site to yahoo is easy and give your web pages more exposure. All you need is a Yahoo Account(ID).
Let’s see how to add your blog to yahoo search engine…
1. Login to Yahoo Site Explorer ( With your Yahoo ID )
2. If you don’t have Yahoo ID, first register here.
3. Give your blog url in box, like as follow and Click on Add My Site
4. After adding your site you will see like as follows. Click on Explore
5. Now you need to Authenticate your ownership( control ) of the blog, for that click on Authentication
6. There are two ways to verify your ownership. One is to upload a file to the root directory of your site which can’t be possible in blogger. Another one is to ‘adding a metatag’ which is possible and the only way to verify ownership for bloggers. Click on it.
7. Now you will see your Meta tag like as follow. Copy your Meta tag and paste it right after <head>. Click on Ready to Authenticate after adding meta tag.
8. Next,you will get a message saying that ‘Your site is pending authentication‘
9. If you want to add your feeds ( atom or rss ) click on Feeds in step 5
